Fiorentina to extend Tello loan

Catalan daily newspaper Sport understands that Spanish winger Cristian Tello could remain at Fiorentina at least for another year.

The 24-year-old cut short his loan spell with FC Porto to join Viola until the end of the season, and he did well to nail down a regular starting berth at Artemio Franchi.

Tello managed one goal and three assists in 13 Serie A appearances, and he clearly did enough to extend his stay in Florence.

Namely, Fiorentina have met with Barcelona in an attempt to extend the winger’s loan deal for another year and everything suggests an agreement will soon be reached.

Tello had shown plenty of promise during spells with the Catalans and FC Porto, but his long-term future at Camp Nou is still in doubt and chances are he will not be …

´All is well´ with Neymar, claims PSG´s Kean, but Pochettino uncertain

Moise Kean has moved to allay fears over Neymar s fitness, insisting all is well with his Paris Saint-Germain team-mate ahead of a crunch Champions League tie with Barcelona, though Mauricio Pochettino is uncertain.

Neymar started in PSG s Coupe de France clash with Caen on Wednesday, and supplied the assist for Kean s winner in a 1-0 victory.

However, the Brazil star was taken off on the hour, with the 29-year-old holding his groin area.

PSG face Neymar s former club Barca next week, in the opening leg of their Champions League last-16 encounter, which comes three days after a Ligue 1 meeting with Nice.

However, Kean – who has now scored 12 goals in all competitions this season – claimed that Neymar is fit and well despite the concerns.

I won´t finish my career here – Mourinho looking beyond Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has revealed he is sure he will not end his managerial career with Manchester United because he still has ambitions for new experiences.

The Portuguese coach is in his second season at United after signing a three-year deal in 2016 and they look set to make a big improvement on their Premier League campaign from last year, sitting second in the table after eight games.

With United starting the season so well, there have been suggestions in the media that Mourinho is set to be offered a contract extension, as the club are reportedly wary of letting him enter the final year of his deal without his future decided.

Mourinho said in September that he is eager to stay for many years , but United fans hopeful of him potentially settling in like Alex Fergu…

Xavi: My teams will never use Mourinho´s style

Former Barcelona star Xavi says he will never coach a team to play in the same way as those managed by Jose Mourinho.

Barca take on Inter in the Champions League on Wednesday in a repeat of the semi-final tie of 2009-10, when the Nerazzurri triumphed 3-2 on aggregate after a memorable 10-man defensive display at Camp Nou in the second leg.

Mourinho guided Inter to the treble that season before heading to LaLiga to take over at Real Madrid, where the rivalry with Pep Guardiola s Barca became ferocious during his three years in charge.

The Portuguese has come in for criticism later in his career for refusing to embrace a more positive style of football, particularly at Manchester United, who are struggling to keep pace with attacking sides such as Manchester City a…

Prediction: Everton vs Tottenham

Best Odds: 7/10

Bookmaker:

Looking to spring an upset on Monday night, Everton will welcome top-four contenders Tottenham to Goodison Park.

Everton

Starting with the hosts, last seen heading into the international break with a stunning late 2-2 draw away at Chelsea, Everton have certainly breathed life back into their charge for Premier League survival. While Sean Dyche’s side might mark their return from the international break at the heart of a relegation scrap, the Blues have largely found a much-needed boost since appointing the ex-Burnley boss. Claiming what could turn out to be a crucial 1-0 victory at home against Brentford on March 11th, Everton will be desperate to make another statement here. Although Monday’s hosts might have opened March in the …

Prediction: Chelsea vs Southampton

Best Odds: 7/10

Bookmaker:

In desperate need of a boost on Saturday afternoon, Chelsea will welcome relegation scrappers Southampton to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea

Starting with the hosts, getting their Champions League knockout stage adventure underway with another toothless display in midweek, Chelsea find themselves in the midst of a public nightmare. Eventually getting hit with a 1-0 first-leg defeat away at German giants Borussia Dortmund, it is no secret that Graham Potter has a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders. While the former European champions might have only appointed the ex-Brighton boss back in September, Chelsea have failed to find any kind of stability. Knowing that they need a minor miracle if they re to punch a much-needed top-four finish …

Are These The Most Iconic Moments in Premier League History?

The has been delivering thrilling matches, unpredictable events and downright iconic moments ever since its inception and that’s not even mentioning the drama on and often off the pitch.

There have been underdogs coming to snatch the title, fiery battles between players and the ref, and many, many great goals. Here are some of the most iconic moments from Premier League History.

Cantona tries Kung Fu

On January 25, 1995, Eric Cantona made headlines for all the wrong reasons. During a Premier League match against Crystal Palace, Cantona was sent off and on his way to the tunnel, he launched a kung fu-style kick at a fan who had provoked him. Little did Cantona know that this move would shortly become one of the most infamous (and iconic) moments in the…

Naomi Osaka Floats On To Another Slam Final

My exact moment of religious conversion on Naomi Osaka came while watching her play Karolina Pliskova from a few feet away in Indian Wells. Pliskova was and still is a spindly winner machine, and she sent balls bounding into the corners with no desire to see or deal with them ever again. Osaka was doing the same thing, and doing it just flatly better while spanning the baseline more fluidly to boot. Pliskova was then the No. 5 seed, Osaka was unseeded. She’d go onto win the title, an omen of more to come. When they played each other in the Australian Open semifinals on Wednesday night, the effect was the same even if their positions had been reversed. In Australia, just 10 months later, Naomi Osaka beat Karolina Pliskova all over again—only this time she was the chalk pick, the No.…
