Best Odds: 1/2

Bookmaker:

Smelling a golden chance on foreign soil this weekend, England will make the trip out to Andorra on Saturday night when they turn their attention back to World Cup qualifying duties.

Andorra

Starting with the hosts, while Andorra might have managed to land a 2-0 victory against Group I whipping boys San Marino on September 2nd, it appears that was just a minor boost for the European strugglers. Last seen getting hit with a deserved 2-1 defeat away at Hungary last month, despite grabbing a late consolation strike, the Tricolours are simply hoping to end this year s campaign with a bounce. However, already knowing that they have stand no chance of securing a spot at next year s World Cup finals, Head Coach Koldo Álvarez has seen his side lose five of their six qualifying contests. Blown away at Wembley last month against a heavily altered England side thanks to a 4-0 drumming, Andorra will face an overwhelming test on Saturday night. It should also be noted, this weekend s hosts have now managed to win just one of their last 18 straight matchups across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to October 2019.

Team News

Andorra will be without Albert Alavedra, Marcio Vieira and Moises San Nicolas on Saturday with the trio serving a suspension.

However, the likes of Christian Garcia, Marc Rebes, Chus Rubio and Marc Vales could be in line to make their return this weekend.

England

As for the visitors, while England might be cruising their way towards a spot at next year s World Cup finals, they will be looking for an immediate response on foreign soil. Throwing away the lead out in Poland last month and eventually having to settle for a 1-1 draw on their travels, Gareth Southgate s side have still gained plenty of plaudits. Left heartbroken at Wembley over the summer as they watched Italy lift the European Championships crown, the Three Lions are still holding a four-point buffer at the top of the Group I table. Likewise, despite having to settle for a point against Poland on September 8th, the one-time Aston Villa defender finds his side enjoying a remarkable 27-match World Cup qualifying unbeaten run, a run that stems all the way back to October 2019. Landing that 4-0 romp when they faced off against Saturday s hosts on home soil last month, there is no doubt that Southgate s stacked squad will be looking to lay down another marker here.

Team News

Dealing with an injury issue, Leeds Kalvin Phillips has been replaced in Gareth Southgate s squad by James Ward-Prowse.

Likewise, the Three Lions will also be missing Harry Maguire, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham.
